Creativity, art, and plants were the underpinning of Amanda’s home life–her childhood garden was her favorite playground. This later sparked her interest in the world of all things design, however, Amanda’s strength in both marketing and business development solidified her position as a professional services marketing leader in lieu of being a designer.
Amanda began her marketing career at Raymond Jungles, Inc. in 2009, after graduating with a degree in Communications from Florida State University. She headed west in 2015 to expand her marketing skills within architecture, interior design, and engineering-focused firms. Her most recent experience was within an integrated A/E firm where she led new business pursuits for primarily federal and nonfederal clients throughout the United States.
As the New Business and Communications Director, Amanda works alongside RJI’s senior leadership to develop new business strategies, initiate client and community relationships, and track and respond to inquiries for new projects, speaking opportunities, and press. One of her greatest accomplishments to-date was leading the internal production and layout of the firm’s most recent monograph, The Cultivated Wild: Gardens and Landscapes by Raymond Jungles, working directly with the renowned publisher, The Monacelli Press.
Amanda enjoys finding opportunities to connect with people of all backgrounds to understand and appreciate the creative discipline of landscape architecture, communicating the relevance and positive impact of great garden design to clients around the world. She is passionate about civic engagement and has served on many community and non-profit boards throughout her career. When she is not at the studio, you can find her involved in a community event, donating at a local blood bank, or fly fishing in the trout-filled rivers of Montana or Colorado.
Amanda is a former board member of the City of Bozeman’s Beautification Advisory Board, the City of Bozeman’s Young Professional Advisory Council to the Mayor, the Gallatin Valley Land Trust’s NextGen Advisory Board, and the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club’s Rotaract Club. She is also a past board member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services, San Diego Chapter.
