Gary was born and raised in Haiti, where his passion for design began early. As a kid, he was always drawing by hand and found himself fascinated by the rich vernacular and colonial architecture around him. Over time, that admiration grew into a love for modern architecture and a deep curiosity about how buildings and spaces come together.
He started his academic journey studying Urban Planning at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), then returned to Haiti to major in Architecture at Université Quisqueya in Port-au-Prince. Wanting to expand his vision even further, he pursued a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami.
For Gary, design is about more than just structures, it’s about how people live, interact, and feel in a space. He enjoys bridging traditional influences with modern ideas to create work that feels both rooted and forward-thinking.
When he’s not designing, he can usually be found painting, cooking, traveling, or exploring new cuisines. One of his personal life goals is to own a chicken coop and stamp each egg with his name. He is still taking suggestions for what to call the coop, so feel free to send ideas his way.
